    Red Deer's Asbestos Removal Company

Our team of certified professionals is equipped with specialized equipment and protective gear to ensure the safe removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials.

    What Is Asbestos?

This fibrous material is a group of minerals with thin microscopic fibers. Because these fibers are resistant to heat, fire, and chemicals and do not conduct electricity, they have been mined and are used widely in construction, automotive, and other industries.

If products containing asbestos are disturbed, the tiny fibers are released into the air. When they are breathed in, they can become trapped in the lungs and stay there for many years. Over time these fibers can accumulate and lead to serious health problems.

    How to Do Asbestos Testing?

As asbestos remediation and abatement specialists, we work with our clients to conduct tests for the presence of asbestos by collecting several small samples of the material for processing at an off-site laboratory.

Asbestos-containing materials must be treated in accordance with the government regulations when disturbed.

    Strict Guidelines Must Be Met

    Testing

Certified professionals complete accurate testing based on regulations set by the Government of Alberta.

    HEPA-Filtered Containment

A sealed containment, decontainment area, and Negative Air Machines (NAM) will be set up for the abatement of the Asbestos Containing Material (ACM).

    Removal

The asbestos containing materials are recommended to be removed, if possible. When it’s gone, you won’t have to deal with it later.

    Cleaning

Extensive cleaning will take place inside the containment on all surfaces, after the asbestos removal has been completed.

    Encapsulation

The abated areas must be encapsulated with a coating that “glues” the asbestos fibers from becoming airborne, after the ACM has been removed or disturbed.

    Disposal

Disposal of any asbestos containing materials must be in accordance with local and Provincial regulations..

Rawk J Services insists on using an Independent Third Party Air Monitoring consultant, during the asbestos abatement and mold remediation process.

Is Asbestos Removal Right for You?

We help our customers with asbestos remediation in many different places with our team of certified pros.

If it’s found to be present for any reason and the intention is to disturb the area, (ex., renovations, tear downs, peace of mind, etc.), then it’s best to call a certified specialist to have it safely removed and disposed of under strict guidelines.

When asbestos is disturbed, it’s quite dangerous to be around. Microscopic particles get disbursed into the air and can be easily inhaled.
